WWIP (Watch WAN IP) allows broadband users to monitor their external (WAN) IP address. Unlike most other tools of this kind, WWIP does not depend on a connection to a third party server to return the IP address, but rather uses the existing IP display on your routers or firewall status page. It logs into your admin interface and scans the HTML source for the IP address display, compares it to the previous poll and notifies you when a change is detected. The notification options include email and/or FTP upload. The program works with any router or firewall that displays the IP address as part of the HTML code in the admin interface.

MyWanIP always displays the proper WAN IP Address. It uses remote servers to determine the Cable/DSL router s true WAN IP address, and shows that IP address in a small window. This allows you to determine the IP address that someone else needs to connect to your computer over the Internet. You can also copy the displayed IP address into the clipboard.
