personal weather radar StormPredator provides personal (almost) real-time NEXRAD doppler radar images from any location in the USA on your desktop. It comes with a storm tracking and prediction tool, that helps you track storms, predict ETA and plot storm paths. The program comes with a unique interface that resembles a real-life radar screen (with optional rotating beam) and customizable skins and buttons. Additional features include radar image processing, ground clutter removal, automated storm analysis and pop-up alerts as well as a computer model driven IntelliWeather Forecasts for over 60,000 US cities. StormPredator also provides access to national and state level interactive radars, weather warning status and complete weather bulletins for your area. In addition, you can measure distances on the screen, replay radar history, publish to your website, send custom email bulletins and more.

Operation problems 2 stars by stueysplace
I recently purchased this software because it appears to be a great program but it is a memory hog and locks up all the time. Also had problems with the publishing operations. It won't publish to the local location and many features only work intermittently. This could be a great program if the bugs were resolved. As it is, it is not reliable. I am running Xp Pro SP3 and purchased version 3.5 of StormPredator which was already updated to 3.6 before the CD arrived. Perhaps by version 10.9 it will work properly and will indeed be a great program. I sincerely hope it gets fixed. showShow review details

I really liked the program, but beware, the first thing it does is rearrange your desktop icons.No telling what else. I did look thru a few features, seemed to lock up trying to stop the loop feature. I then deleted it. I thought the price was a little high. showShow review details
The software developer responded to this review on Feb 24, 2011: That icon issue has been fixed in the latest version, it was a simple refresh issue. Your won't find a radar program that does more for the price.
