virtualize your CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs Virtual CD enables you to virtualize your CDs, DVD, HD DVDs and Blu-ray discs. No need to insert a disc and no more tiresome media swapping. The program copies discs to your hard-disk using efficient compression algorithms, providing access to virtual CD/DVD drives on your Windows desktop. It also supports MP3 compression, you can gain up to 95 percent free space for audio CD compression. Netbook users save precious battery energy and can use additional equipment instead of the physical CD/DVD-ROM, since there is no need to carry an external CD drive and the media. The Multi-session Virtual CD Editor allows to create personalized disc images, which can be useful to test burning projects before wasting andy discs. Other features include CDDB support, optional password protection as well as keyboard shortcuts. Virtual CD is network enabled, you can store virtual CD/DVD/Blu-ray images on a server and then access them from any workstation.

VCD is very comprehensive, full-featured and reliable software that performs its tasks in workmanlike manner. Besides features from previous versions new VCD has virtual burner which works perfectly. All other similar utilities' feature packs are incompatible with VCDs' showShow review details

Virtual CD is very good software with vast array of features. Besides customary reliability and bunch of features from the previous versions VCD 8 has virtual burner which works great.VCD costs more and takes more space than similar utilities. showShow review details
