Website Builder CMS Zeta Producer (Free version) is a website content management system (CMS) that enables you to manage and publish a complete website or blog without the need for any HTML coding. You can choose from 6 pre-designed website templates as a framework for your site and then simply fill in the blanks with your own content. You can customize the templates, insert your own images, media files, content widgets and headlines, all without the need to write any code. Zeta Producer provides a structured interface that makes it easy to edit your pages and add new content. Since the site structure, content and design are completely separated from each other, you can easily change your design template at any time without having to re-arrange your content. Once your done updating or designing your website, Zeta Producer can upload your entire site (or only those pages that have changed) to your web hosting account with the click of a button. Other features include asset management for images and files, scrip support (ASP, Perl, PHP etc.),sitemap, site search, automatic RSS feed generation, integrated site preview, and more. The free version is limited to websites with up to 10 pages.

I found Zeta Producer reasonably intuitive to use but the "freeware" version does not make it viable to produce anything other than a very basic non-commercial website... and with a very basic website there is not a massive benefit in splitting the content from the design. Templates are limited and any interesting functionality is restricted. Unfortunately the cheapest upgrade to a "professional" version is 295 so would question whether this is truly freeware or just a demo version of professional product. showShow review details

I am always a bit skeptical when I see software on a website that has one glowing review full of praise written by someone who has only ever done that one review. Anyway, I downloaded Zeta to try it out and found it to be confusing to use with a very limited number of templates available unless you upgrade to the paid version. My search for the easiest to use CMS continues. showShow review details
