I've used Folder Lock for several years and love the free upgrades for life policy, along with the license to install it on an unlimited number of flash, internal and external hard drives.
That said, the program occasionally reports a drive as locked when it is not locked - defeating the main purpose in using Folder Lock. One feature that it claims - the ability to lock a CD of sensitive data - simply doesn't work. And New Software's claim that they answer all support questions in 24 hours is silly - they don't. Why make this claim this if it isn't true?
Others have complained about the funky program interface, but like any commonly used software, once a user understands how things work, the interface is pretty low on the priority list of concerns. I'll take USEFUL over PRETTY any day.
Folder Lock, despite an occasional unlocked drive issue, is safe, secure and easy to use. I wouldn't trust my sensitive data to it otherwise.
